“He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalm 148:14, KJV)

While in Brussels, we didn’t expect to meet an Israeli Jew. He was a commander in the military reserve. We began to talk, and that lasted for more than an hour. I explained to him the plan of salvation through the Son of the God of Israel, Yeshua the Messiah — who He is and what He did, His love and that He is alive! I explained about the fallen enemy and Satan’s work to disguise himself as a light to blind people from seeing and knowing this truth. He intently listened with his eyes fixed on mine.

I went over scripture after scripture in both the Old and New Testaments. He was amazed at what he was hearing and invited me to tell him more. His response to everything I said was, “She is good!” His heart was receiving the truth.

At one point, I told him that I ask Israeli soldiers, “Are you are afraid?”

They say, “Yes.” I tell them that when the moment comes to take their last breath, to call on the name of Yeshua, and they shall be saved.

Their response is, “Yeshua, yes, I will.”

Just as I finished saying this, he said, “You will not believe this.” He placed his hand over his mouth and said, “I am afraid to say it. I noticed the necklace that you are wearing has Yeshua on it. Do you know that the very word that the soldiers speak before taking their last breath has the same symbol as the letter that represents Yeshua?” We are saying, “Yeshua, Israel!” He shook a little.

I said, “Write this letter down with today’s date. This is the day that the Messiah, Yeshua, has revealed Himself to you personally and intimately. Now you can no longer deny Him.”

I shared with him how to pray for repentance and believe in the Son of God, Yeshua. I told him that he should do this when he arrived back at his room and get on his knees. He bowed his head, then looked up into my eyes. I repeated, “You can no longer deny Him. You must repent for denying Him.” He nodded his head yes. We will stay in contact.

“Abba, Father, how close is the name of Your Son to the lips of Your chosen people. How close is His name to the lips of an Israeli soldier before he takes his last breath. How close are You, Messiah, when they don’t even know it. How powerful is Your name on the lips of those who speak it. How intimate are You, Yeshua, that You weave Your name into the letters of Your people’s language. Abba, in that name — Your Son’s name, Yeshua — all Israel shall be saved.”
