In our search for furniture for the ministry house, I ran into a dining room hutch that had been bought and was tagged for pick up. When we returned home, I prayed several times asking the Lord if He would cause the people who had bought the hutch to have a change of heart and not purchase it. And, if he would allow me to have that hutch.

When we went to the store again, I asked a lady with whom I had once prayed with for her to believe in Jesus to let me know if the buyers changed their minds. She said that they had to pick it up in three days; if they didn’t, the store would have to call them.

We went to the store again, because we were still looking for furniture for the ministry house. As the lady and I talked again, I looked at the hutch and, much to our surprise, it was tagged for sale again. We paid for the hutch. Now we needed help to move it out of the store to our place.

William’s assistant, Max, came to help us. When we arrived at the house, however, the hutch was too heavy for them to move.

Now we were going to have to wait for another circumstance before we could move it. Who knows when that would happen? My husband was adamant on waiting. We had guests soon to come, and I really wanted that hutch in its place in the house. But there was no help.

I sat in the living room going over my bible reading and study at hand. I talked to the Lord about the need for help. I thought that we needed two more men. I had an idea, but I was not sure how that would work. And, despite each idea I had, my husband was still adamant on waiting. I said to the Lord, “We are going to have guests. I sure would like that hutch to be in place before they get here. I want to host these ministry missionaries to the persecuted with Your very best.”

Then I started to talk to the Lord about a concern. “God, I can’t move around as much right now. How am I going to get out to tell people about You so that they may be saved? You will have to bring to them to our door.”

I glanced out the window and thought I saw someone outside by the front door, but there was no further movement. So I got up and walked to the window to look outside. There was a man in a yellow t-shirt. He was strong in body. He seemed to be in his late thirties. I thought, “Here’s my help to get that hutch in the house.” He showed his business card and spoke, but I could not make out what he said.

I called my husband and told him that there was a man at the door. My husband greeted him.

They talked about the service that he was offering. Then I asked him, “Are you alone?” I thought that if there was another man, I had all the help needed to get the hutch inside!

He said, “No, ma’am, my colleague is in the car.” I took a look at the car. It had its business logo on the door and inside was the other helper!

As we walked down the stairs in the front yard, I asked the man if he knew God. He said that he was Catholic. I asked him if he had ever talked with God about His Son, Jesus. He said that he had not. I explained to him who Jesus was and then asked him if he would like me to pray with him for Jesus to be His personal Saviour. Right away he said, “Yes, ma’am, please do!” He was eager, hungering and thirsting for truth. We prayed together as he looked right into my eyes and listened to every word that we prayed.

Afterward, his eyes were filled with light! He was amazed, as he was filled with joy! I asked him if he had a Bible. He said that he didn’t. As we walked into the garage, I got a Bible, a DVD, and a CD and gave them to him. He looked at each with appreciation. He held the Bible very carefully, as he admired it. I showed him where and how to start reading. He took very careful note of it, as I placed bookmarks in it.

I told my husband that the man had believed in Jesus. My husband began to talk with him about his salvation. He then gave the man some information on a church that he could visit. By now the other man had gotten out of the car and joined us in the garage. William’s assistant had joined us as well. Now the two of them were talking to the two men about church.

I looked at the other man. He seemed to be in his mid-forty’s. I thought, “Lord, help me tell him about You.” I asked him if he knew God and Jesus. He said that he did. But I was not too sure if he was born-again. So I asked him if he would like to pray to believe in Jesus as his Saviour. Immediately he said, “Yes, will you please pray with me?” We started praying, and he believed in Jesus as his personal Saviour, giving his life to Him.

Now the four of us were talking about salvation, Jesus, God, the Bible. The first young man who had come to the door said, “Who would have thought that I would come here, pray, and get a Bible!” He was overwhelmed with joy! The other man hugged me and thanked me again and again with huge relief and a big smile. I gave him the biblical material as well. Then the four of them picked up that hutch and put it in its place in the house!

After the men left, my husband and his assistant looked at each other, laughing and rejoicning. Max said, “Claudia must have been praying. When she prays, you know what happens!”

My husband said, “You can’t get in the way of Claudia and God! This is all so amazing!”

I said, “God is always listening and moving.”

The three of us were so thankful for what God had done. We rejoiced! Then we prayed and thanked the Lord and asked Him to keep His watch over the men.

“Abba, Father, I was so concerned about not getting out as much to tell people about You because for the past few hours my health has been a challenge. And I also needed that hutch in its place before guests arrived. How you heard me when I asked You for the buyers to have a change of heart and, most of all, about talking to others about Your Son for salvation in Him!”

“Jesus, it is all about YOU! The buyers changing their hearts, us buying that hutch, all because You had two souls that You wanted with You in heaven! It is all about YOU and souls.”

“Spirit of God, how You have our footsteps and thoughts in God’s direction to lead others to salvation!”
