We had to go look for some more items for the ministry house. A particular lady took a liking to us. I wanted to tell her about Jesus, but I knew that she was not ready for salvation. I had to wait.

The next time we went, we talked a little. I wanted to mention Christ to her, but there were too many customers behind me. But she began to share that she would be on vacation for two days. To test where she was in knowing God, I mentioned that God would be with her. That was as far as I got.

We asked her a few questions about the products we needed and how we go about waiting for them. She was very caring and helpful. She gave us her personal contact information so that we could her to check on items coming in. Now I knew that I would have an opportunity at some time to talk with her about salvation in Christ.

The next time we went into the store, she took us to the stock room. She personally took a tool and began to cut open boxes for us to look at possible merchandise for purchase. We were very pleased that the first item was what we needed.

As we walked out of the stock room, I stopped her in the middle of the aisle. I asked her if she knew God and if she had ever asked Jesus to be her personal Saviour. She said, “I used to teach Bible study, and I ask Him all the time.”

I drew close to her and said, “We are going to make sure that you will not have to pray this again and that you will be assured that you are saved and know that you are going to heaven.”

We started praying. She received Jesus as her Saviour, asked Him for forgiveness of her sins, and gave her life to Him for His glory. She smiled widely and thanked and hugged me. I told her, “You belong to Him now.”

“Abba, Father, after testing where this woman might be in knowing You, her salvation came very quickly. I was not sure, Jesus, if that was the time to pray with her. I was hesitant, but I just had to have the courage to try. I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me wait and not say much the first two times that I talked with her, until He had worked in her heart to prepare her to be ready to believe in You.”
