I felt the enemy coming against me as we were driving to the grocery store,

I told my husband and we began to pray.

We did our grocery shopping. As we approached the cashier, I was still not free of the enemy’s hindrance, so I was having some trouble concentrating on who to tell about Jesus.

I looked that the cashier. We greeted each other. I knew that he was not ready for Salvation. In an unexpected moment a young man stepped into the cashier’s area. He began to sack our groceries. I noticed his nametag. It read, John.

I was still being distracted by the enemy’s presence. I felt as if I could hardly open my mouth or say anything. Finally, against this, I barely whispered,  “You have a name that is in the Bible. Did you know that?’ He looked at me and smiled. I asked him, “Do you know the God of the Bible?’ “No.” He said. “Do you want to know him?’ I asked. He smiled and said, “Yes, I would.” I was so surprised. I was still being hindered, but I pressed through. “Would you like to know Him now?”, I asked him. He smiled so freely. “Yes, I would.”

He was so ready for Salvation, I didn’t have to say much.  Since the hindrance was so strong, I had to stay focused on a few words. “Would you like to pray now?” I asked him. He grabbed a sack and opened it. He looked at me so ready and said, “Yes.” “Okay, let’s pray now,” I proceeded.  My husband began to talk to the cashier to distract him in order to help me finish what God was doing with John. More people were beginning to line up behind him.  So, I had to be quick and precise.

As John is sacking the groceries, we are praying. As soon as He believed in Jesus, repented, and asked him to take His life for His glory. We both smiled.

I said, “You see you didn’t’ just step up here to sack the groceries. He looked up to Heaven and gave a joyous and glorious response and said, “No, I’m not just sacking groceries, look, I am saved!” Loudly, in front of all He confessed His Salvation!

We talked about what church to go to and where to start reading in the Bible. We took a photo together. He was very excitedly placed his arm on my shoulders. He could hardly contain his joy! And, again said, “I am saved!”

We left and returned to the car. As we sat in the car, my husband and I looked at each other. I said, “What a fight it was for that soul!” He said, “Just another day at work with Claudia and Jesus.”  We drove away smiling and rejoicing.

“Abba, Thank you for Your Son, the Savior of souls. Thank You, Jesus for sending us Your Holy Spirit to help us against all the hindrances of the enemy. For You have been given all power in Heaven and on earth.  The enemy is under your feet!”

“Nothing can keep a soul whom You have drawn to Your Son, Abba, nothing!”
