But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13 KJV)

Different brushes are needed for various effects when creating with paint on a canvas. So, I had to go back to Michaels for a specific paint brush.

I’m still very cautious about being out in the public during this pandemic virus. This store was rather empty of customers, which made it easier to go through the aisles and get to the paint products more quickly.

The paint brushes and canvases were on sale. What a blessing! I chose what I needed. Thank You, Lord, for this sale. What fun it is to shop as I look to You for what I will need to paint for You.

Brushes, canvases, and paint were in my hand-carried basket. I looked around to see if there might be someone I could tell about Jesus, but the aisles were empty.

I walked to the cashier area—and still no one around to tell about Jesus. As I approached the cash register area, there was only one person working at a cashier counter. Oh, maybe her, Jesus. Just maybe she may be ready to hear about You.

I placed my basket on the counter. “How are you today?”

The young girl’s physique was stocky. Her no-make-up appearance was soft and clean. I looked through her big round glasses at her eyes.

“Okay.”

“Is it kind of lonely to work here with hardly anyone around?”

“It’s okay.”

“Have you any idea as to what all this virus is about?”

“Not really.”

This young girl was probably still in high school. I have not been around young people for a while and was not too sure what to say. Holy Spirit, help me.

“I used to be a teacher. Would you mind looking into my account for a former teacher’s discount?”

“Oh, sure. Let me look. Yes, you have a discount.”

I had not only the sale price but a discount on top of that!

“Thank you!”

“Sure, my pleasure.”

“I taught for a very long time and I loved it. I love students!” Her eyes grew with interest, and she smiled. Now she was looking into my eyes. She placed my purchase into a bag and gave it to me. She stopped working and moved around the counter to get closer to me.

“Listen. Would you like for me to tell you about why this virus has happened?”

“Yes.” She looked at me with curiosity.

“This is all about Jesus coming again. He is the Son of God. He died on the cross for you and me. He’s alive. He wants you to know that He loves you.”

She moved closer to me.

“For you to be in heaven, you will have to ask Him to be your personal Saviour. Would you like to know Him?

“Ahh . . . I am not sure.”

“All you have to do is ask Him.”

She looked into my eyes.

“You can do this. I can pray with you if you like.”

“I think that I am okay.”

“Well, if you don’t know Him, you are not okay. After this virus situation is over, there will be another situation and another because these are the signs of Jesus’s return. Would you like for me to pray with you to ask Him to be your Saviour?”

She looked away.

“You can do this. The decision is yours. Come on . . . I will help you.”

“Okay.” She smiled and moved closer to me. We looked into each other’s eyes as we began to pray.

She thanked God for His love for her, believed in her heart and confessed with her mouth that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died and rose again. She confessed her sins at His cross and gave her life to Him for His glory.

“Thank you!” she said with a big sweet smile.

“Thank the Lord! He will protect you. One day you will be with Him in heaven.”

We both smiled.

“Do you have a Bible?’’

“Yes, I do.”

“Start reading the book of John. Read the Bible every day. You will get to know the God who lives inside you and loves you.”

“I will. Thank you.”

No one could use a brush and paint on a canvas to create the sight of a new creature in Christ. But one color she is now covered with is RED—the color of the blood of Jesus that He gave for her soul!

“Abba, Father, had You not by Your Holy Spirit placed in my heart to paint for You while shut in with You during this coronavirus situation, I would not have gone to Michaels. I thank you, Abba, for what You do in believers to send them to tell about You to those You have drawn to Your Son. Jesus, my heart is bursting with Your love for souls! Your Holy Spirit, Abba, causes me not to think but to obey, to let my feet be led by You through Him to get me to that one soul! Your blood, Jesus, is a powerful truth that pursues what you gave it for—souls—cleansing them of sin and preparing them to be in Your kingdom to reign with You forever because of Your LOVE!”
