We were in Israel. As I was going through my Bible study, Arizona kept coming to my heart. I said, “Lord, we aren’t in Arizona. What does Arizona have to do with anything here? Why do you keep bringing this to my heart?”

Later in the day, I told my husband that after we left Israel, we had to go to Arizona. He simply said, “Okay.” All I knew was that his mother lived there, but there was no reason to go to Arizona at the time.

In Arizona his mother’s very large property is in the desert. Driving up the road to her home is a little distance. As we were driving on the road to her home, I looked at William and said, “Your mother is going to give her life to Jesus.”

His response was, “Oh come on, Claudia. My mother is a Democrat and Episcopalian. There’s no way.”

I looked at him and said, “William, how could you say such a thing when the King is going to visit her?”

We were greeted at the door with hugs and kisses. As always, we were welcomed into her home with sweet grace and love. We always sat on the couch, and she in her chair right across. We talked about different things, catching up with our lives.

Finally, I said to her, “My mother raised three daughters on her own. Her fingers bled with exhaustion as she gave all her love and strength to raise us.” (William’s mother had raised two sons on her own.) Then I picked up my Bible, opened it, and put it out in front of us. I continued, “But without this she would have still gone to hell.” (My mother had believed in Jesus as her Saviour in later life and was saved.)

His mother stood up from her chair and like a soft feather went to her knees. With her eyes she beckoned me to her. I stood up and got to my knees in front of her with my Bible in my hand. There we were, both on our knees. Her eyes said it all. She wanted to be saved. I opened my Bible and let her read the scriptures on salvation. We then bowed our heads and prayed, as she believed in Jesus as her Saviour. Afterward, I looked over at my husband, and he was smiling with the sweetest, most excited, big smile.

On her eighty-eighth birthday, this February of 2018, Jesus came for William’s mother, while she was sitting in her chair. She was totally healthy. He simply came for her and took her home with Him. Glory!

“Abba, Father, how You watch over mothers who love and give all for their children! Their sacrificial love for their children is not overlooked by You.”

“Jesus, these mothers sacrifice so much for their children. They are like You, giving of themselves for them. Loving them no matter what!”

“We had no thought of Arizona while in Israel, but how the Holy Spirit, Abba, spoke to me about Arizona while we were in Israel, because You had a soul prepared for You to be with Your Son.”

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Romans 11:33

O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

Psalm 92:5

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Isaiah 55:8

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
