We are at the Apple store, and one of the assistants is helping us with our purchase. We start having a little chat about how long he has been working there. I then go to a Mac and pull up the website of the church we attend. He takes a good look at it. Then, I pull up our website. He studies it for a few minutes. Afterwards, I ask him about his own relationship with God. He doesn’t have much to say, so I begin to tell him about Jesus. He listens. I ask him if he would like to know Jesus as His Savior. He says that he would. I tell him that no one around us knows what we are talking about, nor will they know that we are praying. He then looks into my eyes, and I into his, and we pray. This young man believes and receives the love of God for him in Jesus Christ and accepts Him as his Savior. He is so grateful. He gives me a very serious look and shakes my hand with a big smile. He gives me his business card and says, “Thank you! Please, if you ever need anything, here’s my business card.”
This is the first time that an assistant hands me a business card. The look on his face is glowing with joy and surrender!
We then have to look for another attendant to make the payment. She is a very soft- spoken, young girl. I ask her for her name. We then talk about checking the product that we are purchasing. I know this will go fast, and I don’t want to miss telling her about salvation in Jesus. So, I quickly ask her if she knows Him. She is still and in thought for a moment. She says, “No, I don’t.” I am not sure what will happen. Things are moving quickly, so I simply tell her how much He loves her and that we could pray right then for her to know Him. We look into each other’s eyes and pray. She too believes in Jesus as her Savior! I then introduce her to the young man with whom I had just prayed. They both smile at each other. The look on both of their faces is JOY!
“Abba, Father, we know the return of your Son is soon, and the harvest for souls is all around us every day. One by one, You are preparing the hearts of those who will not stay behind.”
“Jesus, You are gathering souls for Heaven. We must be very alert and vigilant, watching and praying as you use us to reap the souls You have been drawing to Yourself in the power of Your love.”
“Holy Spirit, You are guiding our footsteps to those whom Jesus is calling to Himself. Every moment is one for a new soul to know Him. We are thankful You help us to take the moment of salvation to those in our midst. We need not look for a ministry nor an organization to talk about Jesus. You are talking about Him all the time. Thank You for using our lives to glorify Jesus in His work of salvation.”
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 10:11
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 2 Thessalonians 2:13
